Mahitahi Lodge - a home from home

Surrounded by magnificent South Westland landscape, John and Jacqui have developed a high quality lodge for discerning clientele.

To ensure an intimate atmosphere at the lodge, guests are treated like extended family.

You will delight in Jacqui's home cooking and can relax in front of a big open fire - the feature of the lodge's open plan kitchen and lounge.

The rates includes a generous breakfast - continental and/or cooked.

The tariff also includes ‘almost’ anything you require while a guest in our lodge. Whether it be internet access or telephone calls to make your next booking we will not charge you any more.

Even if you require lunch if staying more than one night we will provide it.

Dinner with wine is offered at an additional charge of $75 per adult person.

Your hosts pride themselves on making their guests feel ‘at home’.

The luxury lodge features many of the West Coast’s native timbers, within its architecture and furniture, ensuring a very warm and welcoming place to stay.

Children welcome

We welcome children so feel free to seek a price as it all depends on the room configuration required.

West Coast bed and breakfast

The three bedrooms (all with ensuites) all feature specific native timber from West Coast rain forests.

  • Rimu room Super king or twin
    $325 for 2 guests sharing per night.

  • Totara room Super king or twin
    $325 for 2 guests sharing per night.

  • Matai room Queen
    $325 for 2 guests sharing per night.
    The Matai room adjoins a fully self-contained kitchen and lounge with a sofa bed which can be utilized as a family unit.
